Robert Chiles - back to board of directors
Robert Chiles is the Vice President of Sales for Michigan CAT, a statewide heavy equipment dealership founded in 1944. A proud Michigan native, Rob is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Marketing. After gaining valuable field experience in Michigan and Ohio, Rob began his tenure at Michigan CAT in 1994.
While serving in multiple roles in the company, each of Rob’s promotions placed him as the youngest leader among his peers-culminating in his nomination as the youngest vice president in company history in 1999. Subsequent promotions now have Rob directing Michigan CAT’s sales efforts for the entire organization.
Rob remains active in his community-with the valued support of his wife Christine and their children Robbie and Isabella. In addition to such roles as a Board Member of the Institute of Scrap Recycling, Rob just began his inaugural season as a little league hockey coach. His numerous community service initiatives were recognized by the Irish–American Club, who named him Civic Leader of the Year in 2005.
